*Jan 12 – Dead colony forensics – Eric 

Feb 5-7 – NCSBA Spring Meeting – New Bern NC 

*Feb 9 – Swarm Prevention and catching swarms - Eric 

Feb 14, 21, 28 and Mar 7 – Bee School 8 am to 12 noon each day  

*Mar 9 – Apiary location decisions - Eric Overview of NCSBA Spring Conference - Rob 

March 21 – Package/nuc install – (Eric) location and time to be announced Proper lighting of a smoker Proper way to open and work a colony of honey bees 

*Apr 13 – Safety in the bee yard – Rob Fortin Using an Observation hive at public events 

Apr 18 – 9 to 11 am – Mentoring at Eric’s apiary – General inspections, varroa mite counts, put on more supers, etc. 

May 9 – 9 to 11 am – certified practical exams at Eric’s 

*May 11 - Evaluating Queen Performance – Eric  

*June 8 - Summer dearth, effects on the colony - 

Jun 13 – 8:30 am to 1200 - Honey extraction at Eric's honey house (come early if you want to assist in pulling honey from colonies) 

Jul 9-11 – NCSBA Summer conference – Pine Hurst NC 

*Jul 13 - Hive Beetles and Wax Moths –  

July 18 – 8 to 10 am - Mentoring at Eric’s apiary –  

*Aug 10 - Overview of NCSBA Summer Conference –  Honey tasting – (in house)  

Aug 15 – 8 to 10 am - Mentoring at Eric’s apiary –  

Sep 12 – 9 to 11 am - Mentoring at Eric’s apiary – General inspections, varroa mite counts, pollen sub needed? 

*Sep 14 -   Seasons along the coast - Eric 

*Oct 12 - Preparing bees for winter – Eric 

Oct 17 – 9 to 11 am - Mentoring at Eric’s apiary – General inspections, prepare for winter 

*Nov 9 - Winter in the Apiary and preparing for Spring –  

*Dec 14 - Christmas Party
